Amsterdam Cobras are very excited to announce Dr David Lipman as the new head coach. David Lipman has coached a number of sports in his career including a significant amount of time coaching Union at a sub-elite level including time at Brisbane Boys College.

As a qualified Doctor, Podiatrist and Exercise Physiologist David Lipman brings a wealth of experience in physical preparation and rehabilitation to the Cobras. He is a big advocate of player ownership and a flat leadership structure with an emphasis on ruthless execution of the basics at the heart of his coaching philosophy.

“I am ecstatic to be involved with the Cobras this year, we are looking to build on what is already a very solid foundation of the club on and off the field. I have been made very welcome and look forward to working towards the goal of both individual improvement and team improvement with all players.

We have a host of new faces who have fortified what was already a strong roster and training has been progressing unbelievably, I have been exceedingly impressed by the coachability and attitude of all players.

It is an exciting time to be involved in Rugby League in the Netherlands and I hope to be able to further improve this through a strong performance by the Cobras and the competition in a broader sense this year.”
